Print PDF (one Drawing Editor drawing at a time)

Tool summary :

  • Can be used in the Drawing Editor to output any sheet or drawing as a .pdf file. The drawing or sheet needs to be your current drawing.
  • You can use Print PDF to output a member detail or submaterial or erection view without having to first put the drawing on a sheet. The drawing can be any drawing or sheet type .
  • You need to Open ( Ctrl + o ) the drawing first, so that it (the drawing you want to print) becomes your current drawing.
  • PDF stands for Portable Document Format. The file format is commonly used for e-mail attachments and file sharing since any computer with a modern web browser can read a PDF file.

   Step-by-step instructions :

1 . Before using this tool:

In the Drawing Editor , Open ( Ctrl + o ) the drawing (of any type) that you want to print.

2 . Invoke Print PDF as follows:

Method 1 : Click the Print PDF icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' File ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).

Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose File > Print PDF .

Method 3, 4 or 5 : Print PDF can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .

3 . Choose the destination into which you want the PDF file to be output. By default, Print PDF sets the file to be output to the Output folder used by your current version of SDS2. You can change to any other folder that is accessible on your network, and you can also change the file name of the PDF file, if you so choose.
